As a Trooper, you will have the opportunity to protect motorists, enforce traffic laws, assist those in need, and work alongside dedicated professionals.

Minimum Requirements

Must meet the community's minimum age requirement
Must be a member of Florida State Roleplay
Must have an acceptable disciplinary record
Must communicate clearly
Must act professionally
Must follow department policies
Must complete the Training Academy
Must remain reasonably active
Must demonstrate maturity and sound judgment
Must be able to work with supervisors and other Troopers

Recruitment Process

Submit Application

Complete and submit the recruitment application form with all required information.

Application Review

Recruitment staff reviews your application for completeness and basic qualifications.

Background Review

Your disciplinary record and community history are reviewed.

Interview

Participate in an interview with recruitment staff to discuss your qualifications and motivation.

Academy Admission

If accepted, you will be admitted to the next available Training Academy class.

Academy Training

Complete comprehensive training including policy education, practical scenarios, and evaluations.

7

Final Evaluation

Pass the final evaluation to demonstrate readiness for patrol duties.

8

Graduation and Assignment

Graduate from the academy and be assigned to a troop as a Trooper First Class.
