Who We Are
The Florida Highway Patrol is the primary highway-patrol department of Florida State Roleplay. Its members provide traffic enforcement, motorist assistance, crash response, pursuit support, public-safety services, and professional patrol operations throughout the roleplay community.
Mission
To protect the Florida State Roleplay community through fair enforcement, responsible leadership, realistic patrol operations, professional service, and consistent accountability.
Vision
To maintain a respected, active, and professional highway-patrol department recognized for excellent leadership, organized operations, well-trained Troopers, and fair enforcement.
Code of Ethics
Honest Conduct
All Troopers shall conduct themselves with honesty and integrity in all department matters and interactions.
Fair Enforcement
Troopers shall enforce laws and department policies fairly, without bias or discrimination, and based solely on the facts and circumstances.
Respectful Communication
All communications shall be professional, respectful, and appropriate. Troopers shall treat community members and fellow personnel with courtesy.
Proper Use of Authority
Troopers shall use their authority only for legitimate department purposes and shall never abuse their position for personal gain or advantage.
Confidentiality
Troopers shall protect confidential information obtained during their duties and shall not disclose it except as authorized by department policy or law.
No Retaliation
Troopers shall not engage in retaliation against any individual for reporting misconduct, participating in investigations, or exercising their rights.
Following Chain of Command
Troopers shall follow the established chain of command for all department communications and shall respect the authority of supervisors and command staff.
Avoiding Favoritism
Troopers shall not show favoritism or grant special privileges to any individual based on personal relationships, status, or other improper considerations.
Accurate Reporting
All reports, documentation, and official statements shall be accurate, complete, and truthful. Troopers shall not falsify or omit material information.
Accountability for Misconduct
Troopers shall accept responsibility for their actions and shall cooperate fully with any investigation into their conduct. Violations of this code may result in disciplinary action.
